My Tribe is a Black led ecosystem designing and creating solutions to end global racial inequity, working with our friends, allies and accomplices to turn racially disadvantaged communities into thriving creative and financial economies.
We believe in centering not censoring fearless rooted Black and Indigenous voices. Collaboration not competition is one of our core principles, together we rise, together we thrive.
You can visit our site to find out more www.mytribe.earth
Of course, whilst we strongly believe in centering not censoring rooted Black voices, and ensuring that all events and groups are Black owned and led, this doesn’t mean our friends, allies and accomplices can’t support. We’re building a better future for all!
Blak Futures Month is part of a series of months first announced on May 1st 2020. At the time we had no idea that less than 3 weeks later the brutal killing of George Floyd would trigger a global awakening to the global pandemic that is anti-Black racism/Afriphobia, making these events now more important than ever.
The goal of My Tribe Months is to elevate and celebrate the global Black family and connect the diaspora, encouraging them to think and work collectively and connectedly. We strongly believe in pleasure activism, the motto behind our festivals and events is joy is an act of resistance. In line with our ethos of centering not censoring Black voices all events are Black owned and led – done by us not for us.
If you would like to join the Tribe fill in our application form. But be warned, only fearless trailblazers need apply!
